We have been made aware of the untimely death of @eaglesrfc player Ronnie Kayondo.
We are at a loss for words and will release a statement on this issue as more information comes to light.

May his eternal soul rest in peace.

It is a slippery slope, however, to point at monetary punitive measures as an example for a league in which @UgandaRugby itself defaults on many player payments.

We are also aware that until @UgandaRugby avails a list of confirmed official player and club Social Media Accounts, all complaints about social media posts players make are based on rumour.

The term "professional sport" as defined in section 3 of the National Sports Act, Cap.151 entitles athletes to earn a living by participating in sports for money. However, the draft contract below looks like a loyalty oath designed to root out subversive athletes💀.

Only 2 top Division Clubs were not represented.
