I have to say, while my redstone channel has been completely dead since I stopped uploading, I always keep getting comments on my music channel, asking when I'll upload again. It is very heartening. :) The thing is, I've mostly been writing in traditional notation software, so...

it doesn't sound as good as programming everything in a DAW. The channel might take a slightly more classical/academic direction when I start uploading again. But that way I can actually share much more of what I've been doing over the last years. I think it's probably worth it.

@Tantacrul I study and teach music theory in Germany. Works for almost everything in my own compositions (standard notation at least), and is great for teaching. For use in class, and because it's free, I can send students the musescore files for them to work on/finish.

@cosmicfibretion @WKCosmo What do you make of Stephen Wolfram's idea (maybe not just his) about reducibility in physics?That we've so far plucked all of the highly reducible bits out because they're the ones we can understand and make formulas about? I guess too complex≠counterintuitive, but similar idea

Wrote a comment on David Bruce's latest video on Einaudi, thought it might be worth sharing.This type of thinking is completely absent from discourse in classical music composition(at least in Germany)and has recently helped me appreciate my older approaches to composition again.
