Fresh off a victory at Big Diamond Speedway, Deptford, New Jersey's Christian Bruno kept the momentum rolling Saturday night at Selinsgrove Speedway, charging from the eighth starting position to score another impressive USAC East Coast Sprint Car triumph.
Ronald Helmick and Ed Aikin led the field to green, but it didn't take long for Steven Drevicki to make his move. Charging through the pack in the opening laps, Drevicki grabbed the lead on lap three and immediately set a blistering pace around the Snyder County oval.
While Drevicki controlled the early stages, Bruno was steadily working forward. Using the high side and every inch of the racetrack, Bruno methodically picked off competitors as he chased down the leaders.
At the halfway mark, Drevicki remained firmly in command despite increasing pressure from lap traffic. A daring four-wide maneuver through slower cars allowed him to maintain the top spot, but Bruno continued to close. As rubber began to lay down on the racing surface, Bruno found speed where few others could, flirting with the outside wall and carrying tremendous momentum through the corners.
With the laps winding down, Bruno's relentless charge brought him to the rear bumper of Drevicki. The battle intensified in front of an energized Selinsgrove crowd before Bruno completed the pass and drove away to secure his second consecutive victory.
Drevicki crossed the line second after a strong performance, while Kyle Spence completed the podium in third. Pole sitter Ronald Helmick finished fourth, with Kenny Miller III rounding out the top five.

The Return of Wingless Sprint Cars to Selinsgrove Saturday Night
The thunder of non-wing sprint cars is set to return to Selinsgrove Speedway & Raceway Park this Saturday night as the USAC East Coast Sprint Cars make their long-awaited return to the Snyder County half-mile for the first time in nearly four years.
Mother Nature has not been kind to the series at Selinsgrove in recent seasons. The tour was scheduled to compete at the speedway three different times in 2025, but every event was washed away by rain, leaving fans eager to finally see wingless action roar back onto the famed oval.
The last time the series visited Selinsgrove in 2022, it was Joey Amantea scoring the victory over Briggs Danner and Mikey Thompson.
A new crop of contenders now prepares to battle for victory lane honors in 2026.
Fresh off his Bedford Speedway triumph earlier this season, Kenny Miller III is expected to be in action after enduring a rough outing at Big Diamond Speedway last Friday night. Joining him is recent Big Diamond winner Christian Bruno, who carries plenty of momentum into the weekend.
The championship fight is already heating up between reigning series champion Steven Drevicki and Bruno. After three races, just a single point separates the two drivers in the standings. Drevicki is still searching for his first USAC East Coast victory of 2026, but the veteran has consistently been in contention every time the green flag has dropped.
Veteran competitor Ed Aikin is hoping Selinsgrove provides a turnaround in fortune. Aikin brings years of experience around the fast half-mile, and after suffering a motor issue at the season opener, recording a top-10 finish at Bedford, and enduring a flip in his No. 7 machine at Big Diamond, the team is eager to rebound in a big way.
Olivia Thayer has experienced a rollercoaster start to her season and now looks ahead to making her first wingless sprint start at Selinsgrove alongside Joe Kata and Ronald Helmick.
Several additional newcomers and returning competitors are expected to fill the pit area Saturday night as the field prepares for one of the most anticipated stops of the season.
Joining the USAC East Coast Sprint Cars presented by Baer Den Farms will be the Super Late Models, 305 Winged Sprints, and Limited Late Models for a loaded night of racing action at Selinsgrove Speedway.

USAC East Coast Schedule Update: Port Royal Event Removed for July 26th
The USAC East Coast Sprint Cars have announced an important schedule update regarding the 2026 season.
Unfortunately, the rescheduled event at Port Royal Speedway presented by Aw Shucks Corn Roasters has been removed from the series schedule.
Following last weekendโs unfavorable weather conditions, Port Royal Speedway officials elected to move the prestigious Weikert Memorial to July 26th. With $100,000 on the line for the High Limit Sprint Cars and an anticipated large turnout of 410 Sprint Car competitors, speedway officials were forced to make adjustments to the eveningโs racing program, resulting in the removal of the USAC East Coast Sprint Cars from the card.
The USAC East Coast Sprint Cars will return to Port Royal Speedway later this season during Juniata County Fair Week on September 5th as part of the annual Butch Renninger Memorial.
Attention now shifts to this Saturday night as the series heads to Selinsgrove Speedway for its first appearance of the 2026 season at the famed half-mile oval. Through the opening three events of the year, the series has produced three different winners, and fans will now watch to see if Selinsgrove delivers a fourth different winner in the fourth race of the season.
A damp and dreary night in Minersville brought 20 cars pit side to tackle the tricky 3/8-mile oval of Big Diamond Speedway.
Joe Kata and Steven Drevicki picked up heat race victories before Bridgeton, New Jerseyโs Kyle Spence drew the pole position alongside Kata for the 25-lap feature event.
The racing surface proved challenging all night long, featuring a slick bottom groove paired with a very healthy curb around the speedway.
At the drop of the green flag, Spence showed the way over Kata and Drevicki as the field searched for grip around the Minersville oval.
On lap six, Kataโs strong run came to an abrupt end in turn four when the JKR No. 10 bicycle-flipped and capsized, bringing out the caution flag.
The ensuing restart brought complete pandemonium exiting turn four. Kenny Miller III struck an infield tire and turned over, collecting Ed Aikin, who was also sent upside down in the incident. Blaine Emery, who had been enjoying a strong top-five run, along with Ronald Helmick and several others, were eliminated from contention.
Lap six completely changed the complexion of the race. Christian Bruno had actually worked his way past Spence prior to the caution, but the pass was negated by the yellow flag.
When racing resumed, Spence led the field back to green, but Bruno knew he had a car capable of getting the job done.
Bruno officially snagged the lead on lap eight with a thrilling high-to-low move coming out of turn four. From there, Steven Drevicki began reeling the leader in, applying heavy pressure during the closing laps while Spence kept himself firmly in contention in third.
Meanwhile, Olivia Thayer continued her impressive drive through the field, working past Bruce Buckwalter Jr. with slight contact as she charged toward a top-five finish.
In traffic, Drevicki made one final attempt at Bruno with two laps remaining, but it was not enough. Bruno held strong to claim the victory at Big Diamond Speedway.
The CNC Landscaping Hard Charger Award went to Matthew Swift, who advanced from 17th to 7th. Ronald Helmick received the Hoosier Tire Poker Chip Award, while Blaine Emery earned the Hard Luck Award. Steven Drevicki captured the Bittner Automotive Fast Time Award, and picked up the Hot Lap Fast Time honors.
