Interested in biomarker research in patients with #stents for treating #KidneyStones? The USDRN has ~23,000 specimens linked to 300 participants in the STENTS study, which are available for collaborative research. #WCET22#WCET2022@DLangePhD @GregoryTasian @uroharper
Patient-related factors, rather than procedure-related factors, are predictive of severe pain interference. Psychosocial factors like depression predict greater pain interference. #WCET22#KidneyStones @GregoryTasian @WessellsHunter@uroharper@ChuckScalesMD
What do patients say about the experience of #stent removal after treatment for #KidneyStones?
Hint: Patients want urologists to make the experience better & have some suggestions.

PUSH randomized 1658 participants, including 198 adolescents. Participants will be followed for 2 years, so we expect final analyses will be available in 2024. Stay tuned!
PUSH, the largest randomized prevention trial in #kidneystones ever conducted, has now completed enrollment! #USDRN would like to thank all of the site coordinators, investigators, and participants for their efforts in reaching this exciting milestone.
PUSH will generate information on the value of water in preventing #kidneystones & establish an impressive biorepository of specimens for future investigators.
Alana Desai, MD, and Henry Lai, MD, are collaborating on a national investigation of urinary stone prevention, symptoms and treatment. Read more on this @usdrn_research investigation: https://t.co/2010pCydsO
