In less than two weeks, I’ll be alongside leaders, technologists, and innovators from across the U.S. and around the world at Government Service Delivery 2026 here in DC.
I’m looking forward to discussing how we can deliver faster, more secure, and user-centered services while addressing the opportunities and challenges ahead in AI, cybersecurity, workforce transformation, and operational efficiency.
The decisions we make today will shape the future of government for years to come. Excited for the conversations ahead.
See you on June 11! @globegov

Government should work at the speed of New Yorkers.
Great to see Mayor Mamdani creating COGE to make the city run faster, smarter, and more effectively!
This morning we are introducing COGE — the Commission on Government Efficiency. This Commission will find ways for our city to work smarter, faster, and more effectively for working people. New Yorkers deserve a city government as careful with their money as they are.
Crushing BILLIONS of dollars in medicare, hospice, childcare and many more types of FRAUD. The Trump Administration is bringing accountability and justice back to the American taxpayer.
On Memorial Day, we pause to honor the courageous Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country. We remember the fallen, stand with our Gold Star Families, and give thanks for the heroes whose bravery secured the freedoms we cherish today.
Their legacy will never be forgotten.
If you don’t know what COBOL is, it’s a programming language created in the 1960s.
And yes, some of the federal systems Americans rely on today are still running on it.
That means parts of the technology behind critical government operations were built before the internet, smartphones, or GPS even existed.
When we talk about “legacy systems,” this is what we mean.
America cannot build the future on infrastructure built for another era. That’s why bringing the best tech talent into government matters. That’s why work is underway to move these systems forward.
The U.S. DOGE Service is exploring faster procurement pathways and expanded AI adoption as part of a broader government modernization push. At the Federal IT Efficiency Summit, Administrator of U.S. DOGE Service and Strategic Advisor to CMS Amy Gleason asserted that accelerating acquisition cycles will be critical to keeping pace with technological change and public expectations.

Thank you to @GovCIOMedia and everyone at the 2026 Federal IT Efficiency Summit for the opportunity to join yesterday's conversations on how to better serve federal colleagues and the American people.
It was an honor to receive the Digital Transformer Flywheel Award alongside so many leaders working to move government technology forward.
I am excited for what's ahead!
In 2024, the FAFSA rollout fell to just 46% nationwide completion 👀
In 2025, completion improved to 53.9%.
Today, the Class of 2026 has already set an all-time completion record at 54.7%, with just weeks remaining until June 30 and a chance to break a 60% nationwide completion rate.
Momentum is rising across the country. Every state is now ahead of last year’s pace, with Florida, Arizona, Alaska, and New Mexico seeing major jumps in completions. Texas, California, New York, and Illinois, have already crossed the 60% mark.
What changed?
The FAFSA cycle launched on time, with earlier access and fewer technical barriers. The application process became faster, smoother, and simpler. Instant identity verification reduced delays, fewer screens and fields streamlined the experience, and ongoing system fixes and performance improvements helped eliminate barriers for students and families.
Students and families notice the difference. America notices the difference 🇺🇸
Over the last several months, I’ve had the opportunity to meet with leaders across tech, healthcare, and government in cities across the U.S. and abroad, from Dublin to London, Las Vegas to Nashville, San Francisco to DC, and many more along the way.
Whether at HIMSS, ViVE, the JP Morgan Conference, GovCIO Summit, Milken Summit, Google Check Up, or through countless conversations in between, one thing has become increasingly clear: people everywhere are asking the same questions.
How do we modernize systems? How do we deliver faster? How do we make services work better for the people who rely on them? And how do we help major institutions harness the full potential of AI?
There is great work happening across sectors to improve delivery, strengthen systems, integrate AI, and drive real results. I’m looking forward to sharing more from here in DC and from the road, the conversations taking place, and the missions ahead.
More to come.
The rampant level of healthcare and hospice fraud in California will not go unnoticed, and those who defraud the American taxpayer will be held accountable.
