"I have been mending the same bra since 2022 because I can’t justify spending the money on a new one knowing it’ll come out of my rent." - Anonymous GA #USFGAsacrfices#usfgrad
Instead of providing GAs with fair compensation, USF has offered us classes to help “budget” our limited funds. However, as one anonymous GA shared, “it’s not simply about budgeting carefully. It is about constant sacrifice.” What sacrifices have you made? #USFGAsacrifices
Buckle up, GAs… Bargaining is back! Join us in SVC 2070 this Friday at 1pm to hear what the USF Bargaining Team has to say for themselves after refusing to offer us fair pay or guarantee our tuition waivers. We need you there, will you answer the call?📞
Welcome back, GAs! As we start our first classes of the semester this week, join us this Wednesday to wake up the semester with a free coffee at on either the Tampa and St. Pete campus! We hope to see you there!☕️💚
Chase away the end-of-semester scaries and celebrate the end of finals with GAU! Join us at Peabody’s this Friday (12/12) from 6-9pm for our last payday party (Holiday Edition!) to send off the year in style (P.S. members get 2 free drinks, just saying). We’ll see you there!!!💚
HEY! Are you a GA or someone who thinks GAs deserve to be paid fairly? Join GAU and UFF at the Board of Trustees Meeting this Thursday (12/11) at 9am in the Gibbons Alumni Center to show USF we REFUSE to continue being paid scraps when our University rakes in billions.
Are you a GA pissed off about the 2% “raise” USF offered us? Mad they refused to guarantee tuition waivers, denied us fee relief, and failed to cover our rising insurance premiums? WE WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT! Join us on Wednesday to find out what you can do 🥊🥊🥊

BREAKING: Graduate Assistants at USF deserve more, and people are noticing. Check out this article about our fight for fair wages in the @tampabaytimes this morning!🗞️
USF told us how much they think we’re worth: an extra $15-22 per paycheck. That’s insulting, unacceptable, and after inflation amounts to a pay DECREASE that keeps Masters GAs BELOW the federal poverty line. We deserve better, and we’ll keep fighting for it📢📢📢
USF’s proposed raise of 2% can’t buy much: here’s a few things this money CAN’T buy. If you think we’re worth more than half a tank of gas every two weeks, drop something else you can’t buy with 2% in the comments⬇️⬇️⬇️
USF ST. PETE!!! Tune in to our Bargaining Watch Party on Wednesday at the Edge to support your GAU Bargaining Team as we fight for fair wages, guaranteed tuition waivers, subsidized health insurance, and support for international GAs! This is an episode you won’t want to miss 📺
