We are returning to Lancaster Country Club for five future USGA championships.

Following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the USGA donated an ambulance to @FDNY Battalion 49 in Queens to honor Carlos Lillo, an avid golfer and EMS paramedic who died while helping to evacuate civilians from the South Tower of the World Trade Center.

For many years after, the ambulance was driven proudly by fellow paramedic Kevin Barrett, himself a golfer and USGA member.

We remember Carlos Lillo and all the brave first responders who put their lives ahead of others.

Three pieces of equipment recovered from the rubble of Ground Zero are on permanent display in the USGA Golf Museum and Library.

Twenty-five years later, these artifacts continue to shine a light of thoughtful remembrance from one of the darkest days in our nation's history.
