This workload is because of fixing all cases in court. In the USA, most of the cases are decided in Chamber, without formal hearing. SC should adopt this practice. Only such cases should be fixed for hearing in which hearing is necessary.

There is no judgment in our history with large const/political consequences that would not have been different had the bench been differently constituted. The US Sc with 9 judges always sits as a full court & hears only a few cases each year. Impractical with our 17 & caseload.

I can't defend Justice Qayyum on his recorded conversation, but I've to say that Justice Qayyum was a great legal mind and one of the most competent judges LHC has ever had. It is really sad for me that such a brilliant jurist entangled himself in an uncalled for controversy.
