Between October 23-24, 2025, the USPIS Washington Division – Contraband Interdiction and Investigations Task Force conducted several residential search warrants and seized over 17 kgs of fentanyl, 5 kgs of methamphetamine, 1 kg of cocaine, 4 firearms, and over $40,000 in cash.

On October 22, 2025, the Postal Inspection Service Washington Division – Contraband Interdiction and Investigations Task Force seized approximately 10,000 pills containing fentanyl that were destined for Washington, DC.

🚨 BREAKING 🚨- US Postal Inspectors are responding to a letter carrier robbery in Reston, VA this afternoon. The carrier was not injured, but Postal Service property was taken . The investigation is continuing, and more information will be released when possible.

PARTNER PRESS RELEASE - DC consultant pleads guilty and agrees to repay fraudulent loans as a result of USPIS and IRC-CI joint investigation.

The defendant of the District of Columbia, pleaded guilty today to her role in a scheme that defrauded $1,500,000 in Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) from the U.S. Government.

May pleaded guilty to an Information charging her with one count of wire fraud before U.S. District Court Judge, who scheduled sentencing for December 9, 2025. Under the terms of the plea agreement, May must return the $1,500,000 to the United States.
