Visitors also had the opportunity to see Metro-North's Locomotive 250, created in honor of America's 250th anniversary, and Locomotive 216, which pays tribute to our nation's veterans.

I think the big goal for Amtrak should be focusing on shorter corridors with more frequent service that's relatively fast (90 - 110mph) Rather than building out a bunch of slow long distance trains:

It took me 5 hours and 30 minutes to get to Providence from New York due to train equipment and track issues. Meanwhile, high-speed rail in Spain could make the same trip in 70 minutes. I’m done debating whether we should have fast trains in this country, it’s just embarrassing.
