And just like that, the 2019 USTA National Doubles Championship comes to a close. 382 players and over 400 matches played in 2 1/2 days (including a 1/2 day of rain!). Safe travels home and we hope to see you next year. 🎾
All 2nd round matches will have the following shortened match format: Best of 3 tiebreak sets with a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set. (Correction of earlier tweet that said this was for 3rd round matches).
BG16 and 14/Clay Court Matches: Matches in progress and 10:30 am matches will resume at 3:30 pm. Report to the tournament desk. For all future matches, add 4 1/2 hours to your original start time.
BG18/Hard Court Matches: Matches in progress and 10:30 am matches will resume at 2:30 pm. Report to the tournament desk. For all future matches, add 4 hours to your original start time.
All matches in progress are now not before 1 PM. The next update will be provided at 12:30 PM. Information on future matches will be provided with your 12:30 PM update.
🌧Due to rain, all matches are suspended. Next update for when the matches in progress will resume and any future matches will be played will be posted at 12 PM.
Just a quick reminder that entries close at 11:59 am tomorrow, Thursday, July 25th. That’s one minute before noon on the east coast and one minute before 9 am on the west coast. Hope to see you on the entry list. 🎾
Entries are now open for the 2019 National Doubles Championship! And great news, we have added events in the BG18 division. Same draw size of 32 teams, but these events will be played on hard courts. Entries close Thursday 7/25 at 11:59 AM Eastern.
Please check the draws for your Friday start time. Several have been changed due to 7 matches that were suspended due to lightening at the end of the day.
