Adam Forshaw, the former Leeds United midfielder, recalls the unique approach taken by Marcelo Bielsa.
Forshaw told The Athletic: "He was trying to create a culture of good people. When we first went in for pre-season we used to have to leave our mobile phones in the car for the full duration.

"We used to do litter-picking around the training ground in between sessions in pre-season. We had reading sessions โ it was called 'Reading is Freedom'. That came more from Salim (Lamrani), his interpreter. Weโd sit in a circle and read passages ourselves. So weโd all read the same book and then weโd break it down, what it meant.
"A lot of times he (Bielsa) would give us homework, it might be an article and then the next day we would sit in a meeting room and talk about the meaning of it.
"We were saying that players who were signing would be thinking, 'What on earth am I doing?' You donโt even tell these stories to people because itโs almost like too far-fetched.
"But we just hung off every word he said. We thought he was a genius."

I will never forget the image of Sha'ban Ahmed burning alive. May he finally have some peace after one year of suffering in Gaza and such a horrifying end. His death should haunt us till the end of our days.
Important coverage from @Channel4News. Israel are bombing schools, hospitals, food distribution centres. Thousands of children killed. Unimaginable horror.
How are anyone of us supposed to carry on as normal โ go to work, watch television, read, go to the gym โ while knowing that children are being burned alive in Gaza with the full knowledge and complicity of our governments?
Iโm sorry but if Russian bombs rained down on displaced Ukrainians in a hospital courtyard & they were burnt alive, there would be wall to wall media coverage. Keir Starmer would do an emergency address to the nation. The world would stop.
But Palestinian lives donโt matter.
I imagine that Sky News will similarly report on the identities of those burned alive last night at Al Aqsa hospital, not to mention the civilians killed by Israeli strikes on Beirut.
Because if we don't see photos of those killed by the IDF, or learn their names, what can we infer about the value placed by British media on Arab lives?
Keir Starmer has made it clear over and over again he does not think Palestinian life has any real meaning.
That man has facilitated genocide and belongs in prison, not in Number 10.
The Nazis killed the Jews BECAUSE they were Jews
Israel is killing Palestinians BECAUSE they are Palestinians
YOU cannot be silent
Unless you are OK with this
I am a Jew. I renounce slaughter. I renounce genocide, I renounce child murder. I renounce Israel. It is not a Jewish state. There is nothing Jewish about genocide.
It's today reported that Labour will now hike tuition fees by 13.5% to ยฃ10,500.
When Keir Starmer stood for leader, he pledged to "end the scandal of spiralling student debt."
One of the biggest con artists in British democratic history.
If you understand that Beirut is an international city, in a sovereign country, inhabited by people with lives like you and me, how can you stay silent when 2000lb bombs are dropped on densely populated quarters?
I cannot comprehend. Unless you participate to the dehumanisation.
