A critical reminder from @NRO_gov: in space, visual tracking is only part of the puzzle. SIGINT enhances SDA and battlespace awareness, which is at the core of #USSPACECOM's mission and is foundational to protecting the Joint Force from space-enabled threats.
Not all intelligence comes from images.
Signals Intelligence, or SIGINT, helps turn communications, radar emissions, and other electronic transmissions into actionable insight.
In a world full of data, what you hear can be just as important as what you see.
This week, #USSPACECOM senior leaders held their semi-annual leadership event at Redstone Arsenal (@TeamRedstone). The command also secured its 2nd facility there, marking major progress as it prepares to break ground on its permanent HQ in 2027.
No one can win at space on their own—VICTUS HAZE validates our readiness to rapidly respond to on-orbit threats and highlights the accelerated operational tempo and expanded warfighting capacity that our commercial partners deliver.
Our TacRS launch went to orbit June 19 as part of our multi-launch, multi-vehicle VICTUS HAZE mission. A demo of #USSF's capability to rapidly acquire, launch & operate space vehicles in response to urgent on-orbit threats. Shout out to mission partners! https://t.co/m6Y3qVaAwl
#USSPACECOM joins Valiant Shield 26 with @USPACOM & #AlliesAndPartners, boosting cross-COCOM training to detect, track & engage units across all domains—including space—preparing joint forces to rapidly respond to regional crisis.

Congrats @NRO_gov on the successful launch of NROL-179. NRO’s proliferated architecture and ISR systems support intelligence and @DeptofWar missions, including tracking moving ground targets from space—strengthening sensing, targeting, and operational decision-making.
MISSION SUCCESS: NROL-179 launched today at 4:50 a.m. EDT on a @SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from VSFB.
The NRO is delivering a never-before-seen level of persistence, timeliness, and resilience – a clear information advantage to stakeholders.

#USSPACECOM CSEL Chief Master Sgt. Jacob Simmons recently visited National Space Defense Center and Space Delta 8 personnel. While there, he recognized two #Guardians recently selected to commission as @USSpaceforce officers.
#USSPACECOM hosted 3 @WestPoint_USMA cadets for a 3-week immersion. During their visit, they met USSPACECOM leaders, toured space units & hit The Incline. This August, they’ll lead a capstone research team at West Point to help solve critical space ops questions for the command.
Resilient communications underpin global operations. Modernizing protected SATCOM capabilities, like the PTS-G system, helps ensure the Joint Force remains connected in contested environments.
Production will begin on the 1st of 2 satellites of our PTS-G system, key to #USSF's resilient SATCOM architecture. Warfighters will receive communication to existing legacy wideband users, plus counter threats & ensure connectivity in denied environments.
