It was great visiting the Lutheran seminary in Hsinchu, today. It was a meaningful time reconnecting and reflecting with both old and new friends on theological education and role of the church in society.
I liked the seminary motto from Galatians 2:20: “Ouketi egō, de Christos” (No longer I, but Christ).

Transparency International Zimbabwe (TI Z) joins Licoco and TI Madagascar in participating in the 2026 Annual High-Level Stakeholders Symposium held alongside the Southern African Development Community Heads of State Summit.
The meeting is being hosted under the theme
“Strengthening Inclusive Regional Integration Through Enhanced People-Centred Partnerships,” the symposium is driving critical discussions on gender, power dynamics, corruption, and debt, while reinforcing the need for meaningful inclusion of Non-State Actors in regional decision-making processes.
Evidence from Zimbabwe, Madagascar, and the Democratic Republic of Congo highlights persistent governance challenges, including informal payments, procurement irregularities, and unequal access to essential services. These trends underscore the need to embed anti-corruption measures within sector policies, particularly in health and education under the RISDP 2020–2030 and AfCFTA frameworks.
The engagement is expected to strengthen regional learning, foster cross-country collaboration, and generate actionable recommendations to advance transparent, accountable, and people-centred development across Southern Africa.
