For example, If United somehow agrees on a fee with Nottingham Forest for Elliot Anderson.

It'll be the Frankie De Jong saga all over again and that'll waste a lot of time to get other targets.

I get why United doesn't want to go on a bidding war for Elliot Anderson and it makes so much sense. Anderson seems to only want Man City as of now (one of our biggest rivals) and sees United as a second option if City couldn't get the deal done

Also I’m not sure why United fans are upset we have dropped our Anderson pursuit.

He doesn’t even want to join us. No report has said he prefers us over city.

I don’t normally praise the club/board but I agree with them not paying £125 million for a player who doesn’t even want to join.
