The FBREF stats on Ederson from 2 seasons ago. He’s not going to be a defensive maestro at all, but will be good in terms of ball retention and progressive passing. He’s really a Kobbie Backup which I don’t mind. As long as he’s not a mainstay. Man United could do worse.

Ederson in midfield makes so much sense. A give and go type midfielder, who has shown progressive carrying ability. He’s a box to box player which United need more of in that midfield. He won’t treat the ball like a bomb, so that’s a start for this midfield.

Funniest thing about the fuel protests in Ireland, closing one road, and then blocking a few roads around the country can COMPLETELY shut down an entire countries transport. The infrastructure in this country is fragile. Ireland is standing up.

But back to being negative, this was always how this season should have gone. One game a week, focussing on the league. Same team week in week out, players who perform get the nod. The depth needed in the summer will be huge, don’t let ineos fool you that we can maintain this.
