Congrats to Caroline Znachko, recipient of the 2026 VOLunteer of Distinction award! As a forensic expert and bioarchaeologist, her work links structural violence to health disparities. Sheโs moving to Purdue for postdoc research on early-life adversity, teeth, and epigenetics.

UTK officially opened its new Forensic Anthropology Laboratory on April 17! This facility significantly increases the capacity of FAC, allowing for more efficient processing of forensic cases and strengthening collaborations with law enforcement and medical examiner agencies.
