I’m thrilled to be a Keynote Speaker at the International Diabetes Federation Western Pacific Region Congress 2026, held in conjunction with the Australasian Diabetes Congress (ADC 2026) and Metabolic Diseases 2026, in Melbourne from 18 - 21 August 2026.

Together, the combined Congress will bring clinicians, researchers, educators and policy leaders from across the Western Pacific Region and internationally to explore the latest advances in diabetes and metabolic disease research, care and policy.

Congratulations to Kyounghee Min on her commentary in Cell Research highlighting a recent Science paper from the Kajimura lab. The study uncovers the functional role of the mitochondrial trimethyllysine transporter SLC25A45 in carnitine biosynthesis, revealing how cells enable adaptive fuel switching.
