We extend our thoughts and prayers to Box Elder County Deputy Mike Allred and his K9 partner, Azula, who were injured. We wish them strength and a full recovery.

We join the Tremonton Garland Police Department and their community in mourning the tragic loss of Sgt. Lee Sorensen and Officer Eric Estrada, who gave their lives in the line of duty. We honor their service, their courage, and their sacrifice in protecting the public.
“Our association places a strong emphasis on continuous education and training,” said Kane County Sheriff Tracy Glover, president of the Utah Sheriffs Association. “These scholarships give driven, deserving individuals the opportunity to turn their passion into a profession.”

Amendment C establishes in Utah’s constitution that sheriffs will continue to be elected by voters. Sheriffs have been elected since America's founding to uphold law enforcement and protect civil values.
Amend. C ensures that how Utah does it now, is how we do it in the future.
It was an incredible honor to receive the Utah Sheriffs’ Association Honorary Sheriff Award. I am deeply grateful to stand alongside and work with the brave men and women of law enforcement who dedicate their lives to protecting our families and communities. We are fortunate to have such dedicated sheriffs who uphold justice and safety across our state.
I will continue to work with and support law enforcement to ensure that Utah remains safe. As Ronald Reagan said, “There can be no freedom without law and order.” Working together, we’ll keep our communities strong and secure for generations to come. #KennedyForUtah #Utpol
