রাজেশ মাহাতো, শিবাজী মাহাতো-সহ কুড়মি আন্দোলনের ৯ নেতা-কর্মীকে বিনা অপরাধে, তথ্য প্রমাণ না থাকা সত্ত্বেও, শুধুমাত্র ভাইপোকে তুষ্ট করার উদ্দেশ্যে এবং হেফাজতে নিয়ে ওনাদের ওপর অকথ্য মানসিক ও শারীরিক অত্যাচার চালানোর লক্ষ্যে ১৪ দিনের পুলিশি হেফাজতের আবেদন জানিয়েছিল সিআইডি। ঝাড়গ্রাম বিশেষ দায়রা আদালত সিআইডি হেফাজতে নেওয়ার আবেদন খারিজ করে দেন।

মুর্শিদাবাদের ডোমকলে পঞ্চায়েতের মনোনয়ন পর্বের দ্বিতীয় দিনে সমাজবিরোধীদের একত্রিত করে, গুন্ডামি করে তৃণমূল ৷ সেই উত্তেজক পরিস্থিতির মধ্যেই তৃণমূল অঞ্চল সভাপতি বশির মোল্লার কোমর থেকে প্রকাশ্যেই পিস্তল উদ্ধার করে পুলিশ ৷ তৃণমূল নেতার কোমর থেকে আগ্নেয়াস্ত্র বের করে নেওয়ার ভিডিও সংবাদমাধ্যমে দেখা যায়৷

কর্তব্যরত পুলিশ অফিসার, বশির মোল্লা কে বলছেন; "পালিয়ে যাননি কেনো, আমার সামনে ধরা পড়েছেন যখন আর কিছু করার নেই।"

আমার ধারণা এই দৃশ্য সংবাদমাধ্যমের ক্যামেরায় ধরা না পড়লে, বশির মোল্লা কে পুলিশ এমনিই ছেড়ে দিত আগ্নেয়াস্ত্র সহ।

আজ আদালতে সরকারি আইনজীবী বশির মোল্লার পুলিশি হেফাজতের আবেদনই জানান নি। অর্থাৎ অস্ত্র আইনে মামলা রুজু করতে বাধ্য হলেও, বশির মোল্লা কে হেফাজতে নিয়ে জেরা করার প্রয়োজনই বোধ করলো না পুলিশ; এই বেআইনি অস্ত্র বশির মোল্লা জোগাড় করলো কোথা থেকে তা জানার আগ্রহ নেই পুলিশের এবং তার অস্ত্রভাণ্ডারে এই রকম আর কত অস্ত্র মজুত রয়েছে তার খোঁজ ও চালাতে নারাজ পুলিশ !

আসলে মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় "পুলিশি হেফাজত" কে, তদন্তের স্বার্থে ব্যবহার না করে হিটলারের নাৎসি জমানার "গ্যাস চেম্বারে" পরিণত করেছেন, সরকার বিরোধী যেকোনো গণতান্ত্রিক আওয়াজের কণ্ঠরোধ করার জন্য। তা সে বিরোধী রাজনৈতিক কর্মীদেরই হোক অথবা কোনো সামাজিক সংগঠনের নেতা কর্মীদেরই হোক।

আমি আশা করবো মহামান্য উচ্চ আদালত; নিম্ন আদালতে নিত্যদিন ঘটে চলা পুলিশ ও সরকারি আইনজীবদের এই দ্বৈত ভূমিকা নিজেদের পর্যবেক্ষণে আনবেন।
