DeSantis is absolutely correct here. What’s even worse is the very concept that your property taxes are based solely on the value of your home as opposed to on a per lot charge, or some sliding percentage scale, if even then.

Property tax, in particular, is fundamentally immoral, paying rent to a government that benefits solely from inflation, sucking the life out of a community into the managerial and rentier class who then force their political will on the people.
