First pictures in from the UWE Support Staff strike for fair pay. Determined to win, one activists said: "All of them, (the universities), can pay this. It's not that much money. We're really fed up". @UWEUNISON
Support Staff at the University of the West of England will walk out on 14,15,18 September and 2,3 October in their continuing Pay Dispute.
Staff voted overwhelming to reject the imposed pay offer for 2023/24 The earnings of our members has fallen by around 25% over 14 years
With inflation still higher than our pay rise, we're facing another year of real-terms pay cuts, so we'll be striking on Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3nd October as part of a sector-wide strike in England, across all universities where the UNISON branch has a mandate.
📢First round of Strike Dates confirmed.📢
Thursday 14th, Friday 15th and Monday 18th September.
Did you know you're entitled to £70 per day for each of these local strike days from UNISON's national strike fund.

Solidarity, James.
This it what are members are facing.
No member of staff should be forced to live in these conditions.
This cannot continue.
Universities should be utterly ashamed.

UCEA have once again shown a complete lack on integrity. Last week they went away to discuss improving their pay offer. Today they have shut that down and openly attacked staff.
We need every member, student and supporter to RT this thread.
