Multi agency water incident.

The team attended an incident at Linton Falls near Grassington. Partnership agencies requested assistance with a serious incident in the River Wharfe.

The thoughts of the team are with all those affected by this tragic event.

I’d like to introduce Storm. He’s having a sleep and has dreams of becoming a search and rescue dog when he grows up. Team member and handler Jonny Roe is hoping Storm will specialise in locating people in water as well as mountain environments. Stay tuned for updates.....

The team called out at approx midnight to help North Yorkshire Police search for a missing 13 year old vulnerable boy in Knaresborough.
Thankfully as the team were en route the missing youngster was located safe & well out of area and the team was stood down.

Call out 26 18/07

The team was called today to assist the Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) in rescuing a lady who had fallen on the path near to Trollers Gill. https://t.co/MKeoQySGwk

Yesterday it was just great to get back together to train as a team in-person, for the first time since lockdown. A lot of thought went into making our training safe. It was limited to only 20 members, wearing masks and socially distanced.
As you can see we had an excellent day.

The team was called to assist NYP to search for a missing person nr Harrogate. We searched areas that we were asked to and then stood down while the police made further enquiries. The missing person has thankfully now been located safe and well outside the area.

Callout 21 - 25/06/2020 Buckden

Call from NY Police 74yo M fallen, YAS on route. A team leader was first on scene, casualty assessed + injuries were not as bad a first suspected. Once YAS on scene, casualty felt well enough to walk to Bucken with assistance from team members

Call out 20 - 22/06/2020 Ilkley

We had a call to assist the YAS with a mountain biker who had collided with a tree. He sustained a broken wrist and was able to walk to the waiting ambulance.

Team members tonight joined @stumpcrosscaves challenge, completing 100 assents of the steps! A fantastic attraction + brilliant food with a smile. They have allowed us to have many training exercises in their cave, free of charge.
