🦪 It’s oyster spawning season! A single oyster can release millions of larvae each year and even change gender!🔄 These amazing ecosystem engineers improve our coastal waters, providing vital services. 💙 #NativeOyster#OysterFacts
Back again this time at #Stendhal! You can find us out in Woodstown, up near the #CraicInn, just follow the signs ➡️ and listen for the music. 🎶

Some lovely species that are new to our team, found at Bangor Marina on our native oyster cages. As the warmer weather is coming we are seeing more and more species returning to the cages and growing there, creating dense habitats of incredible species diversity.
Calling all nature and science fans! Take part in the @citnatchallenge this weekend at the Ulster Museum.
It's a BioBlitz - a collective event to discover as many species as possible in a specific area over a short period of time.

Introducing… Wetland Word of the Week! 🌊
Up first, ZOSTERA. At WWT Castle Espie, we conserve zostera (or eelgrass). Thousands of Light-bellied Brent geese migrate to Strangford Lough to feed on it in the autumn and winter.
