Join us for this year’s annual 1984 Arts and Walkthrough Exhibition: “Roots of Rebellion” on May 23rd as we seek to educate others about the events of the 1984 Sikh Genocide and commemorate our shaheeds and the lives lost.

This event will take place on Red Square at the University of Washington, “Roots of Rebellion” will feature a 25-poster walk-through detailing Sikh history & events leading up to 1984 and also depict the violent aftermath continuing to present day.

UW SSA presents the Never Forget 1984 Scholarships for Washington state Sikh students! We will be awarding four prizes total, two for an essay category and two for art/video.

Students who are either enrolled in or going to be enrolled in a Washington state university are eligible to apply. Submissions will be due on July 22nd at midnight.
