We are enjoying a fantastic Maths conference for our #pgce primary trainees today. Keynote speaker Dave Bowman @MathsCanDo @GLOWMaths helping trainees to have a 'can do' approach to Maths learning. 'Practice makes permanent'.
This week has seen our UG3 trainees start their final placements, our PG trainees have returned to their SE1 placements and our School Direct trainees have started their second placements. Good luck everybody and thank you to all our Partnership colleagues for their support.
It has been lovely to receive news of so many of our trainees doing so well in their first week of their Spring Term placements. If you are a UW trainee, what has been the best bit of the week for you? #pite#pgce
Looking forward to an inspiring @UCET_UK conference today in Shakespeare's country, representing the @UW_PriPartners@UWprimary @worcester_uni Really looking forward to hearing Tim Brighouse and Mick Waters speak about their new book.
What is Partnership? Part 2. Yesterday involved meeting with school partners in the format of our Partnership Steering Committee. The committee helps to shape the work that we do with our training programmes and placements and we are so grateful to work in close partnership.
What is Partnership? Part 1: One aspect of our partnership with schools is the immense privilege it is to visit so many schools to see their amazing work. This morning it was the turn of Rowley Hall Primary School to receive a visit. Lovely to see such polite pupils hard at work.
A really salient point to make. Looking forward to the Clearing process here at @UW_PriPartners@UWprimary @worcester_uni today. Whatever happens, we will be here to help you today and as we move forward.
On #AlevelResultsDay2022 remember this, research shows we overestimate how happy good results and how unhappy bad results will make us feel.
It's never as good or bad as you think, so relax and enjoy the ride. 😎
Well done everyone! #teachappy
