@WestJet Requested a name change several weeks ago on my WestJet account and it’s crickets so far!! Can you please update for me to travel or switch my $$$ to @AirCanada??
@PSCofCanada This is reflective of the current state of public service and how it treats its employees in hiring, retaining and promotions. Time to review and rectify discriminatory practices across the board in GC! The time is NOW!! #enddiscrimationinGC
An Italian hospital ran out of ICU valves. A local biz brought a 3D printer to the hospital, redesigned & produced the valves in a few hours.
“At the time of writing, 10 patients are accompanied in breathing by a machine that uses a 3D printed valve.”

When the decade began, tech meant promise — cars that could drive themselves, social networks that could take down dictators. It connected us. But somewhere along the way, the flaws of technology became abundantly clear. What happened?

1) In 2008 a salmon (yes the fish) was put through an MRI scanner. The salmon was shown a series of photographs of humans in social situations, and asked to determine the emotion of the person in the photo (yes, really).
@wirecrats Those are great goals to have. I am not an executive but an ordinary civil servant. Unfortunately, over the years I have seen many execs not live by this, especially #3. In fact, they have negatively affected the mental well being of employees. Thanks for being an exception!
@LaurentGoderre@CelesteCote @singhav8r Let’s not beat a dead horse and relitigate. If it were the private sector, heads would roll and contractors would be blacklisted.
Instead, we promote the bureaucrats and re-hire the same contractors under a different pretext. Shocking but true!

@LaurentGoderre@gcote @mrcharbon The cost over runs and how the site was scaled down from ‘millions of pages of all govt sites’ to five departments is a matter of public record.
Not to mention the cost of AEM that was foisted on Depts with millions of tax payer $ is also a miserable failure.
