I remember 9/11 so vividly! I was in 9th grade U.S. History class at John Jay H.S. in park slope. We had early dismissal and went outside to smoke/debris everywhere. We didn’t realize the magnitude of the situation at that time. We didn’t get back to Canarsie until night time.
