@LuxWade@pencerm Tech fans are now saying both that UC did the bare minimum/far too little and overkill as a reaction to the prohibet login attempt notification. Can you all talk amongst yourselves and get your story straight first before making wild accusations?
@HtownIsWestTX@pencerm I dont suspect the court is going to care about any opinions the agent stated in a radio interview. His play is in the court of public opinion. Also if he had proof UC knew there is zero reason he wouldn't produce it versus carefully wording statements in a controlled interview.
@ByPatForde Cincinnati has an established precedence of how they deal with unauthorized gambling when they are aware. There is zero reason to believe they would have dealt with Sorsby any differently. https://t.co/2lQIr90xFA
@DrakeRanch@PeteThamel Cincinnati and Texas Tech found out concurrently that Sorsby bet in games featuring his own team and gambled on prohibited sports. Cincinnati has a precedence of removing those who have gambled against ncaa rules so Sorsby would have faced the same fate https://t.co/2lQIr90xFA
@ChrisVannini TT saying Sorsbys ideal treatment path is playing the game which lead to his addiction is similar to taking a stance that an alcoholic's treatment should take place in sports bars. Easy to see that TT is prioritizing their chance to win over BS mental health & defined ncaa rules.
@Enquirer "Jack Brennan is a former sportswriter for the Enquirer" anyone thinking about reading this hack opinion piece should save themselves time by just reading this description and move on.
Sources tell @BearcatJournal that there was no knowledge of Brendan Sorsby gambling on events that were against NCAA rules inside the Cincinnati athletic department. #Bearcats
@FiredUpCoug So far we know he illegally (underage) bet on a game in which he was a player on one of the teams. That is clearly stated against the rules and the punishment is defined as a lifetime ban. Don't you want to wait to see if more facts come out before you declare the kid reformed?
@MattHayesCFB@usatodaysports The sources for this article are connected to Sorsby. UC has a precedent on how they deal with awareness of gambling by personnel connected to UC athletics (https://t.co/2lQIr90xFA ). So between the bias of the sources here, the established precedent credibility is questionable.
@barton1959 Player signed a contract including a buy out if contract isn't completed. Player disregards legal document he signed and refuses to pay buy out. School sues for previously agreed upon buy out.
@BlueBullz2@CalhounsCats The portal doesnt open until tomorrow April 7th. Anyone making announcements prior to April 7th are happy where they are and/or were not getting any traction towards a better landing spot.
@flyfisher_aggie@CalhounsCats Utah st "produced a coach" that graduated from the University of Cincinnati where he began his coaching career as an assistant? USU was just a cup of coffee he is back home now. #GoBearcats
