Comprehension really isn’t as common as people think.

Ronaldo’s point was remarkably simple: don’t reduce a two-decade career to a seven-game tournament. That’s it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Whether you agree with him or not, how is that so difficult to understand? Judging a player’s entire legacy based on one international tournament is like judging a movie by a single scene.

The man was talking about the totality of his career, not dismissing the importance of the World Cup. The fact that so many people missed that point is genuinely baffling.
