“Much of what we do is not publicized. We share revenue with neighboring communities, provide compensations, and are ready to deliver. We must engage young people to help promote our campaigns.” — Dr. James Musinguzi, ED @ugwildlife#EmpoweringInvestors
📌 The Shoebill quest
Birders who visit Uganda’s birding sites would know about the exciting expedition to find one of the most sought-after birds - the Shoebill - also known as the shoe-billed stork.
While the Shoebill can easily be seen in conservatories, adventure lovers find themselves wading through the thick marshes and swamps aboard dugout canoes on the quest to see this bird in its natural habitat. Spotting numerous other bird species along the way is always a plus.
The Mabamba Swamp on the shores of Lake Victoria, Albert Delta in Murchison Falls National Park, Makanaga Wetland and Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary among others are some good spots to see the Shoebill.
