Governor Sheriff Oborevwori continues to translate Delta Stateās investment vision into concrete action with the announcement of a $100 million Viability Gap Fund at the Delta State Economic and Investment Summit 2026.
The initiative signals a strategic shift from promoting opportunities to enabling them. By providing the financial support needed to unlock commercially viable projects, the fund strengthens Deltaās position as a preferred investment destination while reinforcing the administrationās commitment to sustainable economic growth, industrial expansion and broad-based prosperity through strong public-private partnerships.
Even amid global economic uncertainties, opportunities remain for those prepared to seize them.
Speaking at the Delta State Economic and Investment Summit 2026, WTO Director-General, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, noted that while the global economy faces growing disruptions, the shift towards diversification presents a timely opportunity for Delta State, Nigeria, and Africa.

Deltaās greatest competitive advantage is its people.
