"I laughed over the Ycee 'Olodo Uprising' topic, not because I found it funny, but because he was identifying something in his time. However, he was seeing the latter stage of something that started in my own generation when I was probably his age.
I spoke about weaponized ignorance for the first time in 1994 when I wrote a piece on it. He is identifying the same phenomenon. The 'Olodo Uprising' was fathered by weaponized ignorance."

A follower of mine sent me a dm narrating the change in behavior his wife started exhibiting when he started experiencing financial difficulties and later went in debts. He later forwarded me the WhatsApp chat with his wife asking me if he was harsh.
She wasn't even willing to tell him her new location and want him to sort himself out by paying all the debts before she can come back home. This made me have a rethink about marriage.
It's not as if I haven't read worst in my dm but this really got me thinking.
I know every woman loves money but the fact the same women who swore during their wedding day to be by a man's side through thick and thin and good and bad moments are willing to leave you until you get your feet back before coming back to you made me ask myself if marriage is worth it.
Why i was so moved by the the dm is because I could relate because this can happen to anybody. This isn't the case of settling for a whore. It's a case in which any women generally can fit into.
As an average earner, I know nothing is guaranteed and I can experience financial difficulties in the future, so does it mean when I find myself in debts despite my past sacrifices for my wife and family, she'll want to leave it for only me to face and only willing to come back when I'm back to my feet?
Women will tell you today that they will stick with their man through thick and thin but we all know with women, it's easier said than done.
Even though I marry a feminine virgin, it doesn't guarantee she won't leave me during my downtime because every woman wants to enjoy financial freedom and there's this change in behavior, even the good women exhibit as soon as a man lost his shield of provision.
Marriage has always been considered as modern slavery for men where they spend their lives protecting and providing for a woman, sacrificing for her, putting her happiness first, and responsible for her needs. But the only reason men don't complain about it is as long as they slave themselves for the right woman.
But the truth is not until you experience financial difficulties as a family man, you'll never know your wife true form.
At the end of the day, the question that always comes to my mind is if all your sacrifices for decades can be forgotten over a temporary financial crisis and your wife is willing to leave you to battle your financial problems by yourself,
Is marriage still worth it in this generation?
