Seven-year-old Kehinde Kaosara should be reading her 2 Times table. Instead, she is somewhere in the cold, dense forest, wondering why the world has gone quiet.
She went to school to find a future. She found a nightmare.

"Olodo uprising" comes in different forms indeed.
It’s the fact that you, an adult Nigerian, still need to be preached to before getting your PVC.
It’s you thinking you are immune or immortal to bandit attacks and "Nigeria happening to you."

It’s you believing that you or your family members can’t be the next victims of insecurity.
It’s looking at the parents of those 39 children, 46 families thrown into total turmoil and thinking they were just "unlucky."

I wake up every cold morning, worried about the abducted school children in Oyo who still haven't returned home.
The flashes of their pictures online fill my mind, and I just let out a sad groan.

There are babies in the forest right now, in the freezing cold, under the burning sun, and in the pouring rain. No shelter. No covering.
But the country has moved on.
We are hopping from one celebrity gist to another, one political party uproar to the next...

Section 34 of the Nigerian Constitution really said: “You’re the main character.” No one can treat you like an NPC, torture and forced labor are major red flags and strictly illegal. You’re a human being, not property. Respect is non-negotiable. Know your rights!

We are proud to officially unveil the Digital Mobilization Lab (DML) Cohort 2 Fellows.
At a time when young people are highly active in digital spaces yet remain underrepresented in governance, the Digital Mobilization Lab (DML) by Connected Development [CODE] is intentionally designed to bridge the gap between digital expression and real civic action.
Selected from across Nigeria, each fellow brings a unique story of resilience, curiosity, and a deep commitment to driving change. From communities where voices are often unheard, they are stepping forward to amplify conversations that matter and influence outcomes that shape lives.
For 12 weeks, they will be learning, unlearning, and building transforming digital tools into instruments of accountability, and ideas into tangible community impact.
More than a fellowship, this I s a growing network of young leaders redefining civic engagement in Nigeria.
And this is only the beginning.

Now I understand what Bertolt Brecht said, “Art is not a mirror held up to reality but a hammer with which to shape it”
I see how art can heal, rebuild, lead.
