🇯🇵 "Melodies of Life" (2000) from Final Fantasy IX is a beautiful ballad sung by Emiko Shiratori.

It perfectly captures the game's themes of mortality & hope. When FFIX came out it was less popular than VII and VIII but I still think of it very fondly.
