In this video you get a clear idea of just how massive and dangerous the minefields across the front are.

The Russian military continues to use 2S7 Pionβs; they are ancient and havenβt been produced since the 80s. Ukraine has destroyed billions of dollars of newer Russian equipment in the last two months.
Their attempt at hiding one of these Pionβs failed miserably (Donetsk region)

Hereβs an article about Ukraine destroying $16B during the first six months of the war ($2.5B/month). I know thatβs not the last two months, but just giving you an idea.
The cost of the equipment is very expensive. Almost all the tanks and armored vehicles cost over $1M each, some such as the T-14 are in excess if $5M each.
The best I can give you for this counter offensive is looking at the official Ukrainian numbers. Here are two photos on Russian losses, one from today and the other from 2 months ago. In that timeframe Russia lost 400 tanks 700 armored vehicles, 1400 artillery systems, 130 air defense systems, 900 drones. Tanks and armored vehicles alone are likely in the $2B range. Hard to know for sure without knowing exact models of every equipment destroyed, but I am pretty confident at saying multiple billions overall.
I think I posted it earlier this week but just the battle of the village of Staromaiorske, which Ukraine liberated a few days ago after a multi-month long battle, resulted in $1B of destroyed Russian equipment (Ukrainian sources). Thatβs one single battle, albeit a long and bloody one.
Watch Ukrainian troops from the Azov Assault Brigade give a tour of recently re-captured territory in the Donetsk area.
Long video, but you will see just how much damage the Russian military is taking in these battles. Dozens upon dozens of Russians bodies scattered everywhere.
Watch Ukrainian snipers take out various Russians in the middle of the night.
Video quality isnβt great, but itβs well worth the 45 second watch.
