Bohdan Usenko was captured on April 12, 2022, during the breakout from the Ilyich Steel Plant.

His wife spent years searching for answers. She recognized him in a russian propaganda video. Freed POWs later told her what had happened behind bars: torture, broken ribs, relentless pain.

Then came the message no family should ever receive.

“This is not just grief. It’s the silence after the explosion. It’s a life that will never be the same again.”

Bohdan Usenko was murdered in russian captivity.

Every murdered POW is another russian war crime.
