🔥 The historic Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra was struck during Russia’s overnight attack on Kyiv.
As flames engulfed one of Ukraine’s most important religious and cultural sites, the bells rang out across the city.
The number of injured has now risen to 30, including two children aged just 5 and 6.
Russia’s “traditional values” on display once again.
It is maddening that we should have had a powerful, properly empowered National Armaments Director by now, in a post expressly designed to grip these concerns about our defence industrial base👇 https://t.co/QMXrLxtx2z
Yesterday we had someone come up to speak who obviously was a Scone 🇬🇧 MAGA. Yes we allowed him to talk so we could push back on his false narrative. Thats not platforming someone. Thats allowing democratic discourse based on facts to shed light on the ignorance that many believe in. That ignorance has helped ruin the US and put others in jeopardy of becoming Kremlin satellites. Never shy away from exposing those who promote Vatnik talking points
I'm genuinely shocked at your reply, if the Russians could take Ukraine they would have already!
But you have piqued my interest how do they take the rest of Ukraine?
Russia has circa 1.3 million losses dead and seriously wounded!
Have the last 4 years been an insane warmup and the russians somehow have an incredible reserve with brand new tanks IFVs and jets just waiting to go somewhere in Belgorod?
It’s long past time that we should accept Ukraine into NATO, or at least the European arm of it. We are ducking it because of the Article V connotations in an active war - we can step round that.
A few years ago, the headline would have been:
“NATO fighters intercept Russian aircraft.”
Now it reads:
“French Rafales and Swedish Gripens intercept Russian aircraft over the Baltic.”
That’s a major strategic shift.
Sweden is no longer a partner standing beside NATO.
Sweden is now part of NATO’s rapid reaction air defense chain in the Baltic region.
And honestly?
The Baltic geography fits Swedish doctrine almost perfectly:
- short distances
- dispersed basing
- high situational awareness
- fast turnaround
- network-centric warfare
Rafale brings weight and range.
Gripen brings agility, dispersion and exceptional integration.
Together, they create a very difficult environment for Russian air operations near NATO airspace.
This is NATO 3.0 in real time.
