You can buy them if you truly are passionate about music, because it's an investment, I know guys who work in retail who are buying VSTs, they save up and buy them, same way they do when they buy things like studio monitors and midi keyboards and audio interfaces. And also what if people who use Ai also use the same excuse, saying they can't afford a computer to learn how to produce or they can't afford to hire a vocalist because they are not from a rich fam?...

Before Daws, music was recorded and edited on tape, you needed session musicians who played drums, strings and other live instruments, including synths which were analog instruments , producers where merely arrangers of those recorded sounds...FL reduced the need for session musicians

They shouldn't do anything about it. Spotify and Apple Music pay artists peanuts anyway; streaming hasn't benefitted the average artist at all. Major labels were already using their stake in streaming platforms to rig the system for their artists; now it's free game. Let whole thing burn since it mostly benefited execs in suits more than the actual artists
