One thing I pay attention to in my everyday work is avoiding vague comments like, "Let's make it a little faster." If you say something like that, the other person won't know what you mean, so I try to be specific: "Let's make it 1.5 times faster," or "Let's make it 1.3 times faster." If someone just says, "Something about it doesn't feel right," that's not very helpful either (laughs).

And then, because you also have to think about things like the CPU and memory, if you want to design games, you should properly learn the technical side as well—while keeping your ideas free. As your technical skills improve, the range of ideas you can successfully turn into reality expands too.
