Nine of the 19 pressures allowed by the Patriots were given up by the left side of the line, including three sacks and an interception. This is the same side where the Patriots started rookies LT Will Campbell and LG Jared Wilson.
New England became the first team ever to start multiple rookies on their offensive line in the Super Bowl.
Will Campbell’s issues are fixable!!
He’s trying to block the best players in the world without a solid foundation.
His feet are constantly moving backwards before contact on 90% of these reps! Damn near impossible to anchor against power if your feet are not in the ground!!!
Changing that alone would cut his issues in half!
I’m excited to see his response next season!! I believe that he will!
This is all weight room. Wilson and Campbell need a big off-season in the iron chamber if they’re going to get better. Sure, Wilson could have been technically better but he did not do much wrong here. Mills just flat out dominated the snap by being stronger.
The entire speech Splinter gives to Raph is full of great quotes that can be applied to our own lives. It has such strong themes of anger management and family bonds that it makes for a very relatable and emotional scene.
Matt Patricia did a clinic at Notre Dame several years ago and gave his perspective on the play. Still maintain passing was the right call and everyone on both sidelines knew it because of the clock and timeout situation.
Joe Rogan: "You are not your past. You're you right now. You might've done some things you wish you hadn't done... don't dwell on that. You could learn from it, that's fine... Just keep moving."
Bill Parcells shares the difference between winners and losers.
"Losers assemble in little groups and complain about the coaches and the players in other little groups."
"But winners assemble as a team."
Winners don't point fingers and they don't make excuses.
They dedicate themselves to personal excellence and team excellence.
They commit to the team, bringing a positive attitude, and doing the work.
(Quote referenced from Emlen Tunnell)
You bought a new washing machine from Lowe’s, you even took off work so that you could be home for the delivery because your washing machine isn’t working right. After an hour after the delivery window ended, you call them and see why they didn’t come yet. They tell you they did come and that you didn’t answer the door so they left a note on the door. You go out and sure enough, there’s a note. You check your camera and see this. At this point would you even bother with the delivery again or would you just cancel and go buy from another store that values their customers more?
