We have an epidemic of AI practitioners who do not understand the tremendous societal power of the large scale military weapons they operate.

LLMs and Machine Learning have significant implications for the future of free speech and society at large.

Data labeling misclassification, poisoned language models, and overfitting are just some of the issues that have real world consequences.

We are trusting people to make black box decisions that impact the future training of algorithms at mass scale.

But who are these people and why should they be trusted in the first place?

If we want to move in a new direction away from big tech and social media censorship, practitioners need to be trained to understand the power of the artillery they are operating.

We need checks and balances to make sure they are not abusing a black box system for personal gain and policy recommendations that largely fly under the radar.

This multidisciplinary approach must include government intervention if they abuse the power of machine learning.

The U.S. government has given a tremendous amount of power to academic researchers and data scientists.

This comes at a cost.

As a nation, we are now dependent on specialists for technical competency that we lack.

This has created an extreme vulnerability at the government level, which has resulted in the infiltration of bad actors under the guise of ethical AI.

It’s not too late to course correct.

But that has to start now.

It starts with our government not relying on bad actors who think nothing of using Machine Learning to circumvent the U.S. constitution.

If Congress is not capable of investigating this type or crime when it is reported - how can we trust the government to protect citizens from harm?

If the government doesn’t even know what harm looks like when it is handed to them - we are in for a rude awakening.

We have a dangerous situation where the government is now relying on those who commit crimes to confirm that the crime took place.

The incentivize structure is misaligned.

This cycle will never end unless we bring in neutral parties who can objectively review evidence.

Our government lacks the technical competency to evaluate the evidence presented because we have fallen behind.

Instead, they rely on criminals to tell them that a crime was never committed.

This is a problem.

If this doesn’t change soon - this will be the beginning of the end.

We must take back power and control away from AI Ethicists who want to use machine learning to rewrite language.

The time is now.
