@CovetousOrigin -- "If you're not looking for a battle...then what is it you want so badly?"
A clearly audible groan escaped from the man. Clearly he didn't find whatever in the world she was trying to do very amusing.
@CovetousOrigin "...Harm /you?/ Do not mistake me for some low-life thug."
Seeing as she'd failed to take any action towards him, Wardell opted to gently lob the pokeball between them, releasing everyone's favorite pokemon, Lucario.
Having a living lie detector present would make this easier.--
@CovetousOrigin -- certainly eager to start throwing pokeballs.
Rather than assume she was talking about a knife, Wardell had taken her comment as 'I have a Bisharp,' and so the pokeball he'd readied contained a 'mon he thought would counter it.
@CovetousOrigin "'You bladed friend.' ...Is that a threat?"
And there he was, finally turning around to face Grace, already clutching a pokeball withdrawn from his pocket.
"Well then, what /do/ you want, a fight?
If that will silence your yammering, then I will gladly oblige."
Someone was --
@CovetousOrigin -- And to make matters worse, he hadn't even turned around to look at her. Stuck up indeed.
"I will not be fueling your addiction, or otherwise lining your pockets with ill-gotten gains. Now go away, I've no time to waste on the likes of you."
What an ass.
@CovetousOrigin After coming to an abrupt stop, it took a great deal of willpower for Wardell to not try and shove Grace to the side so he could just keep going.
"...And you want me to do this why?
Let me guess... You're out of disposable alcohol, drug, or club money, aren't you?"
How rude.-
@CovetousOrigin "Clearly."
Again with the sarcasm.
After scoffing at the stranger, Wardell moved to try and just walk right past her, eyes ahead and no longer meeting hers.
The perfect pick-pocketing opportunity, perhaps?
There did seem to be something the size of a wallet in the pocket of--
@CovetousOrigin Alas, things would not be so easy.
"My apologies, but my personal business is none of you concern."
His apology came in quite the sarcastic tone. She was going to have to try a little harder than that.
"...Is there something else, or shall I be continuing onwards? I intend--
@CovetousOrigin -- waiting up ahead, the man internally scolded himself for letting them slip, and cleared his throat.
"Pardon me, but is there something--
@CovetousOrigin -- How is he pulling these stunts off...?"
The mumbled words he was uttering were far from professional, and upon spotting the woman --
@CovetousOrigin After replying to a rather bluntly written text, Wardell stowed the phone back into his pocket and released a sigh.
"Damn that bastard...--
@CovetousOrigin -- less than public endeavors over to a trusted subordinate and taken a leave of absence, winding up all the way in Johto.
Unfortunately,--
@TenebrisOblitus @BrokenReIations -- constructed lack its egregiously terrible Slow Start ability... But I digress, it has served me well enough, despite its eccentricity."
@TenebrisOblitus @BrokenReIations -- master ball he'd used to capture it from his pocket, Wardell returned Regigigas.
"Why, even the smaller golems it allegedly --
@TenebrisOblitus @BrokenReIations "Oh, I'm not foolish enough to question its power. But I would expect a legendary pokemon to show some discipline!"
