In a daring rescue mission at 18,600 ft near Nun Kun, Indian Army Aviation pilots evacuated a casualty from an extremely challenging slope with no landing space and strong winds.

With the helicopter lightened by removing non-essential equipment and carrying limited fuel, the aviators executed the evacuation with exceptional precision, courage and determination, including a critical landing with one skid touching the slope.

The mission, undertaken at the last available landing window of the day, stands as a testament to the skill, courage and compassion of Indian Army Aviation.

We knew it, and deep down, they knew it too. When devastation strikes on such an unimaginable scale, with limited rescue teams, equipment, and resources, Nepal was always going to need outside help to get through this nightmare.

But it breaks my heart to ask: why was that crucial "golden hour" wasted? Those were the fleeting moments when rescuers had the absolute best chance of pulling living, breathing survivors from the rubble. It is agonizing to think that those precious, life-saving minutes might have been sacrificed just to satisfy the ego and political theatrics of their Prime Minister.

India isn't just a neighbor to Nepal; we are family. We have always stood ready to support them with open arms, no questions asked. When innocent lives are hanging in the balance, why should there be any pride or hesitation in letting your family help?

We knew this, they knew this with devastation of such large scale and limited rescue personnel, equipments and resources, Nepal always needed help of the other countries in these difficult times.

But the question arises why was crucial golden hour wasted, when there could have been maximum chances of saving lives of any survivors just to satisfy ego of their good at theatrics PM, India is a family to Nepal We are always ready to help then why such shame in letting us help.

The Threat:
Massive blockage: 20–50 million cubic meters of water are trapped by debris.

New barrier lakes: Two barrier lakes have formed one at the Chhochen Khola & Purepu Tsangpo confluence, with another one near Gyirong Port (Nepal-Tibet border).
