A delegation from the Baloch National Movement (BNM) and Paank met with Ms. Reem Alsalem @UNSRVAW, UN Special Rapporteur for the Working Group on Violence against Women and Girls, at the United Nations in Geneva last week.
The delegation, comprising @FaheemBalochBNM, @DrNaseemBaluch@Niaz_Zehri, @HakeemWadhela, and the Paank Media Coordinator, @Jam__Baloch briefed the UN Rapporteur on the severe state persecution and harassment faced by Baloch Women Human Rights Defenders.
Crucially, the representatives highlighted the unjust life imprisonment of Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) leader Dr. Mahrang Baloch.
The delegation condemned the sentence as a deliberate attempt to crush peaceful dissent and formally urged the UN to intervene, demanding her immediate release and the protection of all women defending human rights in #Balochistan.

Systematic Enforced Disappearances of Baloch Women in Balochistan
Paank strongly condemns the ongoing and systematic practice of enforced disappearances in Balochistan, as reflected in the cases of Mah Jabeen Baloch, Nasreena Baloch, Farzana Zehri, and Rahima Baloch.
These cases—targeting women, a child, a student with disability, and entire families—underscore a grave human rights crisis where security forces operate with complete impunity.
The abduction of Mah Jabeen Baloch from a hospital, the disappearance of 15-year-old Nasreena Baloch during a midnight raid, the seizure of Farzana Zehri from Khuzdar, and the disappearance of Rahima Baloch alongside her brother are not isolated incidents.
They represent a deliberate pattern of collective punishment and repression against the Baloch people, in blatant violation of Pakistan’s constitution and international human rights obligations.
Paank demands the immediate disclosure of the whereabouts of all forcibly disappeared persons, their unconditional release, and an end to enforced disappearances.
We call upon international human rights bodies, the United Nations, and global civil society to urgently intervene and hold the Pakistani state accountable for these crimes against humanity.

After a long wait, our family has been reunited with @SammiBaluch . We still have concerns about her safety, we are relocating her to a secure location. She is also dealing with some health issues, but once she stabilizes, she will be available on media platforms.
My uncle Shah jee Sibgatullah has been illegally detained by pakistani forces. This is the brutal reality Baloch people face every day. We demand his immediate release.

Sammi is unlawfully imprisoned under the MPO—no charges, no visitations rights. Why is @PPP denying basic legal rights to my sister, Dr Mahrang Baloch and dozens more? The govt has become more spineless than ever, shamelessly targeting Baloch women and their families.

16 years ago, they took my father. Today, they took my fearless sister.Sammi Deen spent her childhood on the streets looking for Dr Deen Muhammad Baloch.Sammi spends her youth in and out of jail cells and sit ins, because she became your voice. Are you brave enough to become hers?

Nabeel Nodh, a student and a talented #Baloch poet, was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces. He was born a poet, and his writing has touched many hearts in #Balochistan. Pakistan has always targeted talented youth, and this must come to an end. #FreeNabeelNodhBaloch
Thank you so much, dear @Malala , for your support during these difficult times. I hope the Baloch and Pashtun people will overcome these challenges and remain stronger and united against tyranny
Paank strongly condemns the ongoing brutality by Pakistani forces in Quetta, #Balochistan. Reports indicate that security forces have turned off streetlights and are indiscriminately firing on peaceful protesters, resulting in multiple injuries. Additionally, all routes have been blocked, and ambulances are being denied access to provide medical aid. Such actions are a blatant violation of human rights and the fundamental right to peaceful assembly. We urge the international community to take immediate notice and call on Pakistani authorities to end this violence and ensure the protection of civilians. #StopBalochGenocide
. @TIME 100 Next Emerging Leaders, named by @BBC100women , and nominated for the @NobelPrize , Dr. Mahrang was detained by the police. More than seven hours passed, her whereabouts remain unknown.
No access to a lawyer, not presented in court. This is an enforced disappearance.
