@gachaheatvirus Dropping fics they shouldn't have picked up in the first place. Because why are you reading something before you check the tags? And because it's ao3, why are you including them in your search?
i hope the fans who are so afraid of leaving kudos or comments understand that when authors receive paragraphs for comments after a chapter update we want to kiss you sloppy style
“Let people enjoy things” started as “don’t go out of your way to shit on other peoples interests for no reason” but now it means “never criticize anything ever”
Sometimes shit just sucks
and guess what? they then went on to not only update the fic, but to completely finish it, and they let me know that it was my one silly comment 5 years after they gave up that gave them the motivation to pick the work back up
y'all hate ongoing fics so bad but dont realize that your support and love is what makes those authors keep going lol when I was 14 I read a fic that hadnt been updated for 5 years & no one was reading and interacting w anymore & still commented letting the author know I loved it
Being neurodivergent is when everyone is watching you get bullied by someone who is hitting way below the belt, crushing your soul for no reason, and no one steps in. But the minute you defend yourself with something you think is unremarkable yet kinda snarky, the whole crowd turns on you like “Whoa! Too far! I can’t believe you just said that! That’s so mean!”
And the reason why you guys even have a place to hang out and read your fics is because proper grown ups with real jobs and grown up money created a site for you and hired a whole bunch of lawyers to allow you to write your little fics without getting into legal trouble
