I recently watched Gears of War: Race to E3, a 20-min. documentary showing the hectic month Epic Games spent polishing the original Gears of War demo for E3 2006.

What's there?

A bunch of highly competent and talented developers making a badass game while persuading a Microsoft proto-girl boss (Laura Fryer) that the chainsaw had to be there.

Needless to say, the E3 2006 presentation of Gears of War was a success.

And the proto-girl boss ended up falling in love with the chainsaw.

Compare that with the uninspiring, dull, boring, and at times bizarre way Microsoft showcased E-Day this summer.

You can tell there's a world of difference between the teams that used to build games and the teams pretending to build games nowadays.

Western gaming is lost.

And only guys who follow accounts like mine will rebuild it.

Except Hitler kept calling himself a socialist.

The party was literally the National Socialist German Workers’ Party. Their official program called for nationalizing trusts, profit-sharing, ending “unearned income,” land reform, and putting the common good above the individual.

Once in power they ran the economy with price controls, directed production, and a 4-Year Plan that subordinated private companies to the state’s goals.

They just redefined socialism as racial solidarity instead of class war, then purged the actual leftists inside the party who took it too seriously.

That’s not a gotcha. It’s literally what they did.

And the operating system is still running:

They capture language so words only mean what the movement needs them to mean. They sort people by group identity and treat the other side as the enemy, not someone to persuade. They run purity spirals where the most extreme enforcer wins. They elevate lived experience or the anointed voice over evidence.

They demand the whole person (speech, associations, conscience) for the collective. Individual rights exist only so long as they serve the cause.

Same pattern. Different branding. That’s the case.

The modifications remove software-level limits on certain Tensor Core operations, without changing the hardware or flashing a new VBIOS.

- RTX 4090: 165.6 → 331.6 TFLOPS FP16 Tensor Core throughput

-RTX 3090 Ti: 87.5 → 157.4 TFLOPS BF16 performance

- RTX 2080 Ti: 59.9 → 111 TFLOPS FP16→FP32 performance

- RTX 3090: 73.0 → 122.8 TFLOPS in a PyTorch GEMM test

The gains are mainly relevant to AI and compute workloads, not gaming.
