She describes him as having a series of mental illnesses.

Bigotry against the mentally ill will intensify for a while following this book.

It is imperative that you do not demean people for having the same illnesses as Trump.

We uh... had some psychotic episodes that hurt some people a lot. And kept being triggered into more episodes by the backlash. Still untreated due to a hostile and underfunded mental health system. :(

We on the left need to have a serious think about how we treat people that act out due to mental illness.

I am guilty of cruelty to a schizophrenic person, despite being on the schizo-spectrum myself. I was faced with their delusion and hostile irrationality, and I hurt them.

And yes, I'm saying this in part because I want people to be considerate of our illness, too. It's so hard to be seen as a monster, as 'unsafe', as 'one of the bad ones'. We didn't choose to be schizophrenic. We didn't choose to be delusional, irrational, paranoid, hostile.
