Make hooks specific enough to get the right people and broad enough to get as many of them as you can.

Everyone obsesses over the script, offer, CTA.

Most ads die way before that.

They die in the first 3 seconds.

That’s the hook!!

People decide instantly if they’ll keep watching. If the hook doesn’t hit, nothing else you wrote matters.

A strong hook alone can literally 2–3x watch time.

Which means you can 2–3x sales by changing three seconds of your ad.

Here’s the simple system I’ve been studying and using:

First pass:
- Study top performing ads in your niche.
- Ignore everything except the hook.
- Collect the best 50.
- Use them everywhere.

Later iterations:
- Find the top 10% performers (usually ~5 hooks).
- 70% of new ads → reuse those winning hooks
- 20% → variations of them (different visuals, wording)
- 10% → completely new experiments

Good hooks usually do two things:

1. Call out the exact person
2. Hint at the value they’ll get

Example formats that work:
• Conditions
“If you run a local service business, this will get you more leads.”

• Labels
“Creators, quick tip.”

• Curiosity
“The rumors are true…”

• Direct callout
“Read this if you want to win.”

The funny part is people spend hours perfecting a script nobody watches.

Meanwhile the entire game was just the first sentence.

I got my users mostly from Reddit. Lemme help you with that.

First, go through your competitors’ Reddit accounts. If you can’t find them, ChatGPT can help with that. Pick 2–3 different accounts.

Save their top posts and actually study them properly, like why this one blew up, why people cared, why the format worked.

Then make your own post in a similar style and post it in the same subreddit. Do it right and you’ll get views. You can thank me later ;)
