But is this statement even correct?

What about the mashāyikh who have openly defended Shaykh Amjad and/or spoken in support of the evidence being raised in this matter?

Are you including these mashāyikh among the “unknowns, fools, and impressionable youth” you are referring to?

And if you are not including them, then how can you say that “no one openly defends him except” such people?

2. Even if those defending him were “unknown,” what does that prove?

Does someone being unknown make the evidence he presents incorrect?

The principle mentioned by the scholars is:

الحق لا يُعرف بالرجال، فإذا عُرف الحق عُرف أهله

“The truth is not known by men; rather, when the truth is known, its people are known.”

And it has been reported from ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib رضي الله عنه:

لا تعرف الحق بالرجال، اعرف الحق تعرف أهله

“Do not know the truth by men; know the truth and you will know its people.”

If Shaykh Amjad has erred regarding Shaykh ʿAbdullāh al-Bukhārī, then identify the specific error, present his actual words fairly, and answer his evidence with evidence.

3. You said:

“There are others who have been known to display signs of mental instability. They all should continue to be ignored.”

How does this establish that Shaykh Amjad’s evidence is incorrect?

Calling people “fools,” “impressionable youth,” or saying that others have displayed “signs of mental instability” does not, in itself, answer the evidence they have presented.

And be careful concerning the honor of the Muslims. A person will answer for what he says concerning the honor of his Muslim brother.

4. You speak about arrogance and humility

You speak about arrogance and humility, yet where is the humility in demeaning Muslims simply because they defend a position you reject?

As for placing an individual at such a level that criticism of him is treated as though it is impermissible, while those who criticize him are belittled and insulted, then this is not from our daʿwah.

No individual is above correction when evidence establishes an error.

And after describing Muslims as “fools,” “impressionable youth,” and speaking of others as displaying “signs of mental instability,” remember that a person will answer for what he says concerning the honor of his Muslim brother.

Where will you run from this, Anwar? By Allah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

«الظُّلْمُ ظُلُمَاتٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»

“Oppression will be darknesses on the Day of Resurrection.”

5. You lecture others about arrogance while defending ʿArafāt al-Muḥammadī

This is despite the serious criticisms that have been raised concerning his positions on foundations of the Sunnah.

If you believe those criticisms are incorrect, then answer the evidence with evidence. Do not divert the discussion into attacks upon everyone who raises these matters.

It was asked concerning ʿArafāt:

“Is Shaykh ʿAbdullāh al-Bukhārī more important to ʿArafāt al-Muḥammadī than the foundations of Ahl al-Sunnah?”

So we ask you the same question, Anwar:

Is defending Shaykh ʿAbdullāh al-Bukhārī more important to you than the foundations and principles of Ahl al-Sunnah that have been raised in this matter?

6. If you believe Shaykh Amjad is mistaken, bring the evidence

The truth is not determined by whether someone is famous or “unknown,” nor does insulting the person presenting an argument invalidate his evidence.

If Shaykh Amjad has made an error, demonstrate the error and answer the evidence.

May Allah guide us and you to the truth, grant us justice even toward those with whom we disagree, and protect our tongues from speaking without right.

So why didn't Abdullāh al-Bukhārī do this with Shaykh Abū Iyāḍ? In fact, he said to not let him inside his house, until he 'repented' from his 'speech against the scholars'. Now, why are we saying that which we do not do? Straight to tabdī' and name-calling him a plant!
